Touch, pan, shake and move - a crash course in interaction design for touch devices. It this four-hour workshop we will look at the good, the bad and the ugly in the application space and work out what makes a great interface.
Smartphones and tablets provide a vast amount of possibilities. But it's up to the designer to decide how to use these things. Touch screens have different requirements for graphical user interfaces. But it doesn't stop with the screen, all sorts of sensors can help your application to be exactly like a user would expect it to be.
After a brief introduction, the participants will explore and review existing apps. We will delve further into the technical possibilities and limits as well as different usage scenarios before creating our own solutions. The results will be presented and discussed in the group.
It's recommended to bring a smartphone or a tablet (iPad).
